The symposium organizers are pleased to announce the availability of travel awards for graduate students, postdocs, and Faculty Members to attend ETHYLENE2018 to be held in Crete, Greece, from June 2 to 6, 2018.
The travel award of $1250 USD will cover the early bird registration fee (€400 for students and postdocs; €550 for assistant professors), 5 nights in a single room with private facilities in MAICH dormitory housing (€35X5nights=€175), and partial travel expenses (approximately $535 USD toward airfare for students and postdocs; $413 USD for assistant professors).
The awards are limited to graduate students, postdocs, assistant, associate and full professors who are currently working in the U.S. Associate and Full Professors, who are members of under-represented groups including women are now eligible to apply for the travel award. Associate and Full Professors should follow the application instructions for Assistant Professors and must explain financial need.
The awardees are not required to be U.S. citizens but must be studying or employed in the U.S.. Applications from women and other under-represented groups are encouraged.

Applicants will be informed of the Committee’s decisions by the end of April, 2018.
All travel award applicants should register for the symposium before April 22 (http://confer.maich.gr/registrations/ethylene2018).
At the top of the registration form, applicants should check the box that says “I am invited speaker / travel award applicant”, and should NOT fill out the MAICh accommodation section near the bottom of the page. The registration fee will be temporarily waived until the award decisions are made.
Applicants who do not receive the travel award will have the option of self-paying their registration fee (€400) after the award decisions are announced.
